Serbian - Jamaican Cooperation
Liberation riddim was recorded in Jamaica 8 years ago by celebrated Denroy Morgan and Morgan Heritage. Participation of Capleton at Reggae Fest organized by Students’ Cultural Centre Belgrade and NGO Eupulse that will take place on May 17th and 18th in SKC made this music rhythm up to date. Capleton’s version of Liberation riddim Jah Jah City became greatest modern reggae roots anthem.
Three Serbian artists: Nemanja Kojic, a.k.a Coyote (Eyesburn, Burning Sounds...), Vukasin Markovic (Irie FM, Smoke’n’Soul, Eyesburn) and Milovan Boskovic (ex Mistake Mistake, Serbian Groove Institute) joined their creative vocal forces in delivering Serbian riddim with Jamaican flavour. Their version recorded in picturesque red, yellow and green studio in Zemun during April 2007 speak about potentials of Serbian reggae and gives local response to one of world greatest reggae challenges. By using Liberation riddim Coyote, Vukasin and Milovan have described and sung their vision of life in Serbia.
